First, I tried on wedding dresses with the owner, Daphne. She was not helpful. I informed her of what dresses were not for me. I didn't like corset dresses due to having large breasts and the corsets pushing them up into my face. She continued to bring me the most expensive dresses in the store all of which were corset dresses. So, I went somewhere else. I did, however, get my bridesmaid dresses there because I let my local girls pick out a dress they all could agree on. First, they informed me of the wrong dress number and my out of state bridesmaids were ordering the wrong one. They made all of my bridesmaids pay a rush fee and they didn't order the dresses until three weeks after my girls placed their orders. Secondly, they informed me that I could easily remove the sash on the dress to add a different colored sash if I wanted. Dresses came in and the sashes were attached to the dress so adding sashes were out of the question without taking the dress a part. The Simple Bride offered to have their seamstress take off and add sashes for an extra $80 per gown. My mother in law got fabric from Joann's, made the sashes herself and attached them to the dresses two days before the wedding. Third, my sister (matron of honor) was eight months pregnant. We ordered the fabric for her dress instead of ordering the whole dress. None of my bridesmaid dresses came in until three weeks before the wedding and my sister's fabric never came. They blamed it on the designer for messing up the order. When I called the designer myself, there was never fabric ordered. The Simple Bride stated that they could reorder the fabric for an extra $150, plus a rush fee and the fabric would be in two days before the wedding. Who would make a dress for her in two days? So I had to go the Joann's to get the fabric for the sashes and make my sister's dress different from the other bridesmaids. (Mind you, all of this happened two weeks before the wedding day). Furthermore, they were not going to give my sister's money back for the fabric that never came until I threw a fit in their store in front of customers. It was the most horrible experience I had ever had. The owner took no responsibility in anything that happened and had her assistant cover for her every time. I called their store almost every day to get answers and no one would give them to me. They kept saying, this is not our fault and we can't help you. They would offer some suggestions, which would always end in costing me over $100 per dress. I had six bridesmaids. It was not happening. I was telling my hairdresser my experience and she told me that she got a bridesmaids dress from there. Their dresses came in the wrong color than what they ordered, the Simple Bride blamed it on the designer and wouldn't return money. So, I didn't feel it was just me. They're just a very bad business with an owner who doesn't know how to run a store. Weddings are the most important day in a girl's life and they do business like you're planning a cook out, not a wedding.
