It was great! Delicious! Yellow cake, butter cream icing, red velvet, cream cheese filling. The cake was beautiful too. We had just icing and our florist placed flowers, but it all worked well.

I absolutely loved my cake from Publix! They had great tasting cake and my husband immediately fell in love with the red velvet cake and cream cheese icing that was decided to be the bottom tier of our wedding cake as soon as he took his first bite at our tasting. The second tier was chocolate with buttercream and the top tier was vanilla with buttercream. The only issue was that Publix was late getting my cake to me. Although it didn't put a damper in ANYTHING it just made me worry when it wasn't there at the time the invoice stated. None the less, the cake was there early and it looked amazing! It tasted even better! No matter what the occasion, Publix supplied my needs!

Normally I enjoy Publix bakery, but this time it was an unwanted adventure. I decided to have Publix make my wedding and groom's cake due to other bakeries around town trying to convince me to spend anywhere from $650-$750 (this doesn't cover the cost of the groom's cake or delivery charges either) for a similar cake design/flavors.
The first issue I encountered was management and a senior cake decorator telling me that the gum paste flowers that I wanted were no longer available, because it was a discontinued design. I mentioned that it was offered in their 2011 book and on their website. They told me that both the book and website was out of date. How is that possible?! They told me that I had to come back in and pick a completely different design or wait for the main cake decorator to come back to town. I wasn't happy, but decided to wait. She discovered that it was another supplier who offered the gum pasted flowers. Wow it's nice to see that their training was coming in hand, not to mention product knowledge.
A week before my wedding I called to make sure that everything was paid for and covered. I had a 48 second conversation with Chris. During this time he was very brisk, spoke to me as if I was dumb, rushed me off the phone, then hung up on me.
The other problem I had was sugar cookies w/ sprinkles for my goodie bags. Their first mistake was making them one month in advance from the specified date. When the department called me abut picking them up, the rep's tone was condescending until I pointed out that it was the incorrect date. When it was the correct time/date to pick them up, Chris again, boxed them up even though they we not cooled completely. A fellow employee of his pointed out that several cookies were broken and smashed, his response was, "She won't notice." He continued to box them up and hand them to me. I was so furious that I just took the cookies and walked out. When I got home, the cookies we inconstant in size, broken, and some of them weren't even half covered with sprinkles. They ended up baking a third batch for me.
The last issue I had dealt with the wedding and groom's (1/2 sheet) cake themselves. We decided to do a photo cake and it was supposed to cover the entire cake, the image was only 8" x 11.5". As for the wedding cake I did not want fudge filling. Some of the layers had it and others did not, therefore some of my guest had it and others didn't. You try explaining that to kids, parents, friends, family, and co-workers on the inconsistencies.
I reviewed my order sheet just to make sure that I wasn't crazy and all the instructions were clear as day. The whole experience was completely unnecessary and dumbfounding.

We utilized store #1066 - and Jocelyn was just outstanding. She talked me through options, was glad to change arrangements to preference - and worked well with my tight schedule. The Lillies were stunning - fresh and lasted for days after the ceremony. Each piece was artfully crafted - and timely available at the venue without any follow-up from me. Way to go Publix!

I wasn't very happy with the colors in my bouquet. My color was a deep purple (almost eggplant) and the flowers they said I was getting were supposed to be very dark but they were the purple color you find in a crayon box. It just wasn't what I was expecting. Also, one of their associates was rude to me on the phone. The cake was very good though.

Surprisingly they reuined the cake. They did not make the cake that I asked for and the cake was leaning when we got to our reception! Completely disappointed with lack of service from Publix.

People are amazed when I tell them my daughter's wedding cake came from a supermarket. The cake was beautiful and tasted really good. The buttercream frosting wasn't too sweet and neither was the cake. It was perfect. It was ordered from Publix in Jacksonville. Each layer was a different flavor and filling. The price was also VERY reasonable. I researched bakeries in the Jacksonville area and the prices were so high. I highly recommend Publix for a wedding cake.

The Cake was the least thing that my husband and I felt that we wanted to spend a lot of money on. We instead choose to spend more money on the photographer, ceremony musician, open bar, and DJ. That being said, we received numerous compliments about our cake from publix. It was beautiful and delicious and priced very reasonably. Definitely would recommend.

I had both my wedding and groom's cake from the Publix bakery at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine. Both arrived and were set up on time. They looked and tasted great! The only problem was that the grooms cake was not chocolate on chocolate. Called them up after the wedding and all of my money for grooms cake was promptly refunded.

I had my cake done at the Publix in Eagle Harbor. The cake was delicious... and looked amazing with the flowers from my florist... however, the top layer was uneven... the icing did not look like she put much effort into smoothing it down and the piping was not at all what i asked for! Of course, none of my guests noticed these minor details.. but I did! my main problem with this bakery is that the night of my rehearsal dinner the lady who was making it called with about 30 questions, and then argued with me about my answers....i asked her if i could call her after the dinner and she said she was leaving and my cake would not be made if i didn't stay on the phone with her. It was absolutely horrible! I would recommend the publix bakery but not the one in Eagle Harbor!

I went with Publix for our wedding cake as I'd heard several positive reviews and also been to quite a few weddings with Publix cakes. Well, it was certainly a mistake. I created a very specific image of what the cake was to look like -- it was a mix of two cakes that were pictured in the cake selection catalog. The colors were even exactly the same as those pictured in the example selection.
Well, the cake arrived the day of and quickly the situation went south. First of all, the cake was delivered to the wrong location. As such, by transporting the item to the correct location the cake sort of "fell apart: in transit. The sides were all droopy, swollen, and uneven. It just looked sort of horrid. Apparently it was covered in pollen as well.
The next issue was that the monogram of our initials looked like drawn on by someone just learning to write letters. When my coordinator asked the Publix representative why the cake looked like that, they blamed it on me and said I wanted it to look that way (total lie!). In order to fix the cracks in the cake that occurred from the error in transport, they quickly added on a bunch of icing flowers. It looked like a 5 year old's birthday party cake.
In the end, it was just a cake and I didn't want to make a fuss -- it wasn't the end of the world. The main issue was that they were very rude and disrespectful to myself and those around me.

Publix cakes have always been a favorite among residents of Florida, so of course when we were deciding where to get our wedding cake Publix was our first choice. The event planner was so helpful and they were able to design our cake based on a picture we brought them. The cakes turned out beautiful, my only complaint was the groom's cake. They used the wrong design, but it still turned out wonderful anyway. And of course they both tasted delicious as well!

Having been to several weddings with Publix cakes we decided to use them for our wedding also. The cake tasted great and looked very nice. We received many compliments on it. The top tier was a bit crooked but overall I loved it!

These folks at Publix bakery went above and beyond to make me happy! I will continue to use them for everything else I ever need a cake for. They were very cheap and didn't charge extra for things they could have. So happy with their service!

Jocelyn of Publix in San Jose Blvd. is one of the best! They were recommended to us by Candice of Winterbourne Inn and truly, the cake was delicious!

The cake was delicious and beautiful. I was disappointed in the color. I asked for lavender rose colored icing and it was almost light blue instead of lavender, pr even purple! But overall, I recommend publix!
