C Pratte, Professional Bridal Seamstress

C was an AMAZING seamstress. She has many years of experience and is extremely talented. She had my dress back to me in a timely manner and was extremely professional. C is able to do anything and everything you could imagine needing done for your gown for your special day. I requested she incorporate a small piece of my grandmother's gown into mine and she found a creative way to do so. C found ways to perfect my dress that I never would have thought of! My gown was altered to flatter my body so I can look my best on my wedding day. I would recommend any bride to C, as she made me feel comfortable and did a fantastic job.

I am so glad I went to C! After reading her reviews, I didn’t even bother going to the seamstress the bridal shop referred me to. C is very talented, my dress looks perfect and I can’t wait to wear it! She is very professional and makes you feel very comfortable from the moment you step into her little studio. I am so happy that I choose "C" for the alterations on my wedding dress! When I first received my wedding dress, I knew that there would have to be alot of alterations made and I was very nervous about looking for a seamstress. Just like any bride, looking online was my number 1 source for finding a seamstress. C Pratte is one of the finest alteration professionals you will ever meet. Her work is absolutely beautiful. She knows exactly how to alter your dress to make you look and feel your finest on your wedding day. I bought my wedding dress off the rack at the bridal store, and she made it look like it was made just for me. She had all of my alterations completed within 7 days. She is a joy to work with. She gave me suggestions on how to sit, walk, and stand in my wedding dress, to make my pictures more beautiful. You will not be disappointed with C. She is amazing!!!!! I brought my gown to "C" with less than three weeks before my wedding. Originally, I bought a chiffon dress at David's Bridal..... what I thought was perfect for a beach side wedding. However, when I picked it up, it was horrible!! After sitting in the parking lot crying for several minutes, I found another Bridal Salon in the area where I was blessed to find a sample gown on sale. The store could not help me with alterations due to the limited time I had. I brought my dress home and began searching for seamstresses in my area and came across C on Wedding wire. I emailed her and she contacted me back right away. She made me an appointment to see her within days. At my first fitting, C explained what she wanted to do as well as the cost involved. From the moment I met C, I knew I was in good hands and my worries that things would get done in time immediately dissipated. At my second fitting, I expressed some of my worries with her original ideas, and as we talked and exchanged visions my dress began to take shape. I left that day feeling incredibly excited and couldn't wait to see the finished product! When I put my dress on during the last fitting, I was absolutely amazed! Not only did she create, she did it in less than three weeks!! She took a sample dress and turned it into an original that reflected me, my maturity, as well as my figure. C provided one of the most memorable and enjoyable parts of the whole wedding process. I came to her in panic as my dress was not fitting properly only 2 weeks prior to my wedding. Right away I felt welcomed and finally at peace. C is very professional and I felt right at home. I knew my wedding gown was in good hands the moment I walked in and noticed how sparkling clean everything was, which was a relief after going beforehand to a view other seamstress shops in town. Not only did C help me with the alterations, which by the way were perfect but she also guided me on proper etiquette when wearing a bridal gown which was very helpful when the day of the wedding came! I simply went in for a fitting, we discussed some of the things that I wanted and when I returned a week and a half later, my dress was the "perfect" dress! How great is that? She saved my mother\'s dress! My mom wore a Davids bridal dress for her second marriage that she had altered by the company. Three years later I wore her dress but needed a couple more alterations and Davids bridal refused to do second alterations to the dress. C fixed every concern and made the dress my own!Her environment is a cozy and clean place with soft music so you feel like royalty! On top of fixing my dress, she teaches you proper etiquette that our culture seems to forget about when wearing long gowns. Thank you C!

"C" is so much more than a seamstress! She is very professional, yet she is so easy to work with that you feel right at home. She does her work out of her home and has it set up perfectly. When you walk in she has very soothing music playing in the background and you instantly feel comfortable. On my first fitting/initial visit "C" thoroughly went over everything and showed me every option (such as for the bustle, etc) and then she provided her opinion on what she thought would fit best and trust me, she KNOWS what works best. "C" shows you how to properly wear your dress (something the dress shop does NOT do), she shows you how to stand properly, how to walk in your dress, how to sit, esp. if you have a hoop skirt or anything similar under your dress and so much more. I felt like I learned how to "play the part", not just look it and I can't thank her enough for all the "extras" she gave me when it came to advice on what NOT to do on my wedding day! I promise, you would never think of the things she tells you, so it was great to have someone share those little secrets with me so my wedding day runs as smooth as possible."C" had my alterations done in less than 2 weeks and I can't tell you the difference it made in how my dress fit. I felt like a princess and that is how every bride should feel! She reminded me of all the little tips she gave at my initial visit as well. She also shows you how to best lace up your gown and she has whoever is with you (if they will be doing it at the wedding) do the actual bustle so that way they know how to do it that day of the wedding. "C" made everything seem so simple and easy yet I know she works so hard in order to make it that easy for her clients. "C" was amazing and I am so thankful my bridal shop recommended her, as I would NOT have been satisfied with anyone else the way I was with her!

I could easily write 3 pages of all the wonderful things that came out of my experience with C, and it would probably make for a good read. But in an effort to be brief, let me list a few of the qualities I witnessed during my experience.C is professional yet personable, welcoming, and helpful. I had two wedding dresses and two weddings. I hated them both when they arrived because I felt fat and they didn’t fit well. I thought I had made the wrong choice in dresses for my figure. After hearing my distress, C invited me to come in so she could take a look at the dresses, never having even met me yet, and despite her planned vacation. She is knowledgeable, experienced, and interested in the clients’ happiness and best outcome.C shared her opinions honestly and openly. She demonstrated how a simple change could make a big difference in overall appearance, and thus was able to give me not only what I wanted, but what looked best, and fit best on me. She reassured me that things could be altered to my desired outcome. She is professional, reliable and charming with a regal presence. She was always ready for me when I arrived, and focused on me only, during my appointments. She made extra appointments when necessary. Despite the fact that her very clean and well lit studio is in her home, she was always very well dressed, polite, polished, and ready to greet me on my arrival. C is more than just a seamstress.Aside from meticulous attention to alteration details, she shared insight on how to not only “look like a bride”, but also how to “carry oneself like a bride” (i.e. walking, sitting, arm movements, etc). On a personal note, my mother passed away a few years ago and I was very concerned about not having someone there whose opinion I could trust to be in my best interest. And although no one can take the place of a mother, I am thankful that C was put in my path. Her patience, guidance, and expertise helped turn me into a most magnificent and beautiful bride, TWICE!!! As so many brides have stated before C is so much more than a seamstress. She offered me advice from how to walk in my extremely high heels to how I should pose for my bridal pictures. She took my dress and even though I thought it was perfect to begin with...she made it better! She is extremely professional and I had my dress back in a week. You will only need one fitting with C and it is worth it!

C is one of the most talented, professional, and kind people I have worked with. As many brides know, you come in contact with a lot of vendors and wedding planning can be stressful. C made the process so much easier and more enjoyable for me. She did more than just tailor my dress, she also talked to me about how to pose in pictures, how to walk, how to wear it, how to tie the bustle, and how to keep it sparkling white and not damage the silk fabric. Finding the perfect dress is just the beginning of the process for brides, next comes the fit and the bustle. When I bought my dress I absolutely loved it but I knew it was going to need to be taken in and bustled. C did the most beautiful job making my dress look like it was made for me. She altered my dress around the waist, placed a strap along the inside for added support, and created the most beautiful european style bustle. When I worked with C, I felt as if I was her only client. When I went to pick up my dress, the bra I had chosen to wear didn't work out perfectly so she even sewed some padded cups in it so that I filled out the top perfectly. Her studio is immaculately clean, and she takes amazing care of the dress and the client. Her pricing is very reasonable and she is by far the most talented seamstress I have ever worked with. She has been sewing all of her life, and it shows. When I was at my final dress fitting, I put on my dress and it fit absolutely perfectly. There is nothing about the experience that I had with C that I would change. I highly recommend her to anyone that needs to have alterations made to their dress. She is knowledgable, efficient, and most importantly can do whatever is needed to make your wedding dress look like it was made just for you, no matter your body shape or dress style.

My dress was bought from Davids Bridal and after seeing how busy they were and that there was only TWO options for the back well I realized I needed to go elsewhere for alterations. I went to a upscale dress shop and C Pratte was highly recommended . The dress was very pretty and simple, however it was a sample and had a few issues: a stain, it needed taking in through the back and some of the jewels sewn back into place,it needed to be hemmed and I wasnt sure about the back yet. Upon my first visit with C I realized she was the one. Her home is her business and it is so tasteful and relaxing. C gave me several options for the back of my dress and other suggestions and gave me a very fair price for all of it. Upon a closer date I had myself, my mother and MOH come for the fitting. The double bussel was the very best choice. I also had bra place holders sewn in and she gave me lots of great advice. The time and care she takes is over the top AND she only does a few dresses at a time so you know yours is of great importance. I would say no matter if you lived in Florida or Georgia and you want a job that is perfection then take your dress to C. I would love to post a picture of the back if this would let me. My dress was just truely amazing thanks to C Pratte.

I would give her a 10 if I could. After speaking with a very rude well known seamstress in the area I googled and found C. She answered my phone call immediately and took her time helping me. She was very flexible with my schedule as an out of town bride. She had my dress finished in one day. She was very sweet and friendly. My dress looked amazing! I would highly recommend her.

I was referred to C by my bridal shop and i am so thankful of that. She did an amazing job with my dress and was very helpful answering any additional questions that i had. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a seamstress.

C Pratte was so great to work with! I had such a hard time finding a dress that I loved because everything these days is strapless. I chose a lace jacket and a strapless dress with the silhouette I wanted and just prayed that I could find someone to combine the two to make one perfect dress. Needless to say I was very nervous that I wouldn't be able to achieve my vision because it is not typical, but "C" was very sweet and worked with me to get exactly what I wanted all along. My dress now fits perfectly and looks beautiful!
