My Beach-Side Wedding

My Beachside Weddings does not return rental items. She is in possession of 60 White Garden Chairs since August 2011. Of course she never responds to email or phone calls. Don't think I would suggest ever using this company. If anyone knows the where abouts of the chairs the information would be greatly appreciated.

I intended to have a wedding a the Majestic Room this fall which Jennifer Richards was purchasing, well come to find out she has been ripping brides at of ten of thousands of dollars and has nt returned anyone's phone calls or emails. I received a phone call from a caterer who works with her and explained they are trying to help these brides still plan their day. SHE IS A FRAUD! CALL 9047385415

This, honest to God, is the one & only time I have taken the time to post negatively about as fellow professional. She is the exception to my always smile and think positive rule. I am disgusted by her unprofessionalism and unethical practices. I am soooo sorry to hear all of these horror stories! Last month I was called by Jennifer to shoot a wedding that started just a few hours after the call. She claimed her photographer had food poisoning, which I now believe to be false. I assume he was sick of not getting paid...but thats just an educated guess. Anyway, I was told she would meet me at the ceremony to provide the payment. To my annoyance, she never called or showed up. I could see the bride was close to frantic, stating it had been a nightmare working with My Beach Side Wedding from the beginning and she wasn't at all surprised to be stood up by Jennifer, yet again. She ordered the "butterfly" package yet didn't have the correct arch, no petal lined isle, no PA system, a photographer she didn't expect, no Jennifer and the butterflies were DEAD (all but a couple). I felt so bad for them on their big day, and I refused to be apart of their frustrations, so I photographed the ceremony and "officials" as planned. It was a beautiful wedding, despite Jennifer's efforts. Since then, I and the bride (and the bakery from what I have heard) have spent hours trying to track Jennifer down. On the rare occasion I get a response it is always a lie: "I sent a money order, I will call you by 5 pm, I'll put a check in the mail today, Must've gotten lost in the mail, etc., etc." Finally, I gave the bride/ groom their pictures. Unfortunately for me, this is not the bride's fault. She held up her end of the deal and had paid Jennifer well in advance for everything, including my services. While I am not obligated to release the photos with out payment, it simply was the right thing to do. It is clear I will never see a red cent from Jennifer, or the courtesy of the truth. So, trying to create a silver lining, I wanted to post in hopes of adding a bit of legitimacy to the other couples claims, warn future couples & contractors and perhaps let people know that there are good, honest people who want your day to be as special as you do. DO NOT use Jennifer Richards and My Beachside Wedding. Yes, her fee is inexpensive but you still don't get what you paid for. I was an "older" bride who was having a simple ceremony on the beach. She didn't return phone calls and made up every excuse in the book. She was not professionally dressed for our ceremony, her music and "sound system" (from Walmart) did not work appropriately. The day before our wedding I waited for a return call from her to tell us what beach we wanted our wedding on. Then, she waited 10 days to submit our marriage license to the court. I repeatedly called the court and was told they knew who she was....she was known for being late submitting. DO NOT user her! Read the reviews on the BBB. She claimed they were competitors but they definetly are not. Pay an extra $100 and get the wedding you have dreamed of.

I gave Jennifer a deposit for my wedding and after she recieved my money she never responded to my phone calls or emails. She took my money and ran, as she has done to MANY other brides. I would do your research on My Beachside Weddings before you use her!

We were married in April and our wedding was nothing like Jennifer promised. The PA system was not working! Our family could not hear our vows. The aisle was not covered in rose petals. Then our flower girl had the wrong color petals. My dad's memorial chair was missing... when she finally made it AFTER the wedding it looked TERRIBLE. The archway was not the one we picked. She had the wrong color of sand for the sand ceremony. We asked for 4 things of sand and we received only 2 for 4 people!!!!! The set up and tear down was done by half naked sweaty men. GROSS and unprofessional. There were other things wrong but you get the point. Jennifer promised a $250 refund but we have not received it!!!! I reported her to the BBB. I was her 12th complaint.

Jennifer did not give us anything we wanted. We had a horrible experience. She promised us a refund but never sent it to us. We have been asking for a refund for over a month now. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I used this company for my 12/17/10 wedding in St. Augustine Florida and they were just wonderful! Everthing was to my exact expectations. I would have to say that hiring this company was the dumbest thing I ever did. I needed something quick and this place was reasonably priced...They happened to have an opening right when I needed it and if I paid in full, well I would get a discount! I was able to get a hold of Jennifer fairly easy until she received all of my money. Then it was call you back later, never answer, then voicemails not returned, emails not responded to..This led to my husband trying to call her from different phones furious that I couldn't reach her days before our wedding. If you tell me to call to finalize things, answer your phone! Then you tell me, family emergency. I have a big family and I don't have as many emergencies as you. Apparently, you give this excuse often. You promised to bring me my flowers to my hotel a mile down the road for photos..mind you this was pre-arranged. I call you numerous times with no answer as usual. Since my husband was already at the wedding site with you I had him go ask you. Then you say they are on the way. I call 10 minutes before the ceremony wondering where my flowers are, my husband tells me they are still in the back of her truck but someone can bring them to me. I say forget it b/c we need to start the wedding. I get down there 5 minutes before start time and you still aren't done setting up.Then you tell me that your PA system didn't work and you first said it got wet then you needed an extension cord. I didn't have time for you to go hunt one down on the beach. Then, I had a ring bearer pillow for my two step sons to share and you took the pillow and gave them dollar store pillows (without asking me). Then I start to go down the aisle and you play the wrong song, I was angry and you seemed dazed. I reminded you which was the right one and we had to start over. It didn't really matter since you were playing it on a Walmart hand held boombox that only I could hear. You followed me around with your laptop and webcam for the broadcast of my wedding I paid $75 for only to later learn that my sick mother and my step father only saw me get to the end of the aisle with my father b/c your laptop battery died. So a few days after my wedding I email you to ask you to return my ring bearer pillow that you took from my kids and you emailed me back saying you had it and you needed my address to send it to me. I still haven't received it and that was 6 months ago. I also emailed you letting you know that your broadcast of my wedding didn't work and I wanted my money back. I got no response from you. Then without any answer, I posted a review on yahoo about how horrible of a job you did, just like on this site..you responded to that alright trying to make me look like the bad guy saying my husband and I were told that because of severe wind conditions, that our video probably wouldn't work and that I didn't care...Now we all know that wind doesn't affect the ability of your laptop to connect to the internet...and if you had told both of us that it wouldn't work, then why don't I remember and why didn't you tell me right then that you would give us our money back.. Over all. If you have low expectations and nothing would make you angry, then sure, use this company. Don't expect to be able to reach Jennifer, get your money's worth, or get money back after things don't go according to your contract or whatever promises she will make you. That's all I have to say about that. Thanks.

This woman is so horrible there is a fb group with over 180 unhappy clients of hers. She has f rating with BBb. Sometimes she doesn't show for the wedding n that includes staff so ppl sitting in parking lot with no chairs or anything. Once she has your money she doesn't care anymore.

OMG! What a wonderful ceremony we had! Jennifer and her staff were great to work with. Our ceremony was romantic, and meaningful, and beautiful beyond words! Everything was so easy and the decorations (we used conch shells and luminary candles). We were provided with choices to make our ceremony unique, and it turned out great. Thank you MY Beachside Wedding for making our special day memorable!

i wrote my vows and she did not have them. Right before service she said she would pull them up on her laptop. during the service she said something differant........I was not happy

Great idea to use This company Jenn did a great job and made my life easy,I trusted she would handle it and she did, we just showed up and it was wonderful! Every one said it was beautiful . Thanks again :)

Not reliable!!!!!!!!! Do not recommend, too many broken promises.

Jennifer performed my wedding ceremony on Amelia Island Florida. It was so nice and easy. Her staff was extremly professional and it was everything I could have asked for (except the light rain). My friends and family enjoyed the ceremony, and the services were very affordable.
