Martha was great! She fit me in on a tight schedule, provided quick turn around with perfect work and was very reasonable.

Martha was wonderful to work with. I used her on 2 separate occasions and was pleased both times with her work. She was honest and didn't overcharge like most of the bridal boutiques do. I was recommended to her by a friend and in return I referred my Mother-in-Law there for her dress as well. My bustle did end up breaking on the big day but it could have been all the dancing I was doing. Overall, I was still pleased and would go back.

Martha hemmed my wedding dress & did the bustle. She was wonderful. I highly recommend her. She was very nice and professional, and did a wonderful job with my dress.

Martha did a great job putting the bustle on my dress. It stayed in all night! I looked amazing! She is so good at what she does!

After purchasing my dress at a local bridal boutique, I was referred to Martha to have my bustle put in. Thankfully, I only required that done since the stock size of the dress fit me perfectly. Martha even had me try the dress on just to be sure since a lot of girls mistakenly feel that their dress fits well when it doesn't and she was in agreement with me. She never tried to "upsell" or add any extra costs that were not necessary. Her work was stellar and high quality. I did have to reschedule an appointment with her due to her being sick and unfortunately the messages she left never got through to me. I live almost 2 hours away and had made it to Jacksonville when I received her phone call. I believe it was simply an issue with the phone and not Martha herself. I'm a bit surprised by a previous reviewer saying she was argumentative... I found the exact opposite! Martha is very kind and professional. No, she won't sugar coat things and she's not there to be your best friend and tell you how beautiful you are every other second. The only way I can see her being hard to work with is if you're late to your appointment. Other than that, she's a doll =)

Martha basically had to take apart the whole bodice of my dress and resew all of the lace on the top and she did great. It was lots of unexpected work for her but she still did it in a timely manner

Martha seemed to know what she was doing and came highly recommended. However she was argumentative and the workmanship was not as great as I had thought. My bussel was uneven and after about 20 minutes at my reception two of them had broke. I ended up having to hold the bottom of my dress up all night because they all eventually broke. Not worth the money I spent.

I found Martha when my boss got married and she used Martha as a seamstress. Even though I didn’t need any major alterations on my dress, I still wanted someone I could trust explicitly with the alterations. Martha was amazing. She worked for Disney as a costume designer and still designs some of her own gowns, as well as reworking others. She did a wonderful job on my dress and her prices are extremely reasonable. My mom’s dress needed a complete overhaul. The top was made of lace, and Martha had to take it pretty much apart, alter it, put it back together, and redo the beadwork. She did an amazing job and charged very little. She is really flexible and willing to work around your schedule.

Martha did all of my wedding dress alterations along with designing and making my veil and headpiece. She did a fantastic job with my alterations - I had a very detailed dress with lots of beadwork and she was able to alter it perfectly to my body. She was able to use some portions of my wedding dress alterations in my headpiece. She designed a beautiful simple flower with minimal feathers. It was gorgeous and got tons of compliments. I wanted a simple veil and she was able to create that for me as well. Her prices were unbelieveable. What it would have cost me for a veil at another store I was able to get the veil, headpiece and the alterations. Thank you Matha!

Martha was a life saver!!! Long story short, she had to remake the entire top of my dress from new fabric that we had to order from the designer!! And it was perfect! She was super knowledgeable, has an eye for detail and she had fantastic workmanship. Even though my dress was in pieces I was always calm knowing that I was in her hands. She also did a fitting for my sister's bride's maid dress only a few days before the wedding! I was also astounded at how little she charged me for all her additional work. I would highly recommend her to anyone!!!Jenna Hauck (Castner)

I first used Martha back in 2007 to alter my bridesmaid's dress for a friend's wedding. Her prices were (in my opinion) dirt cheap compared to many other seamstresses. She only charged $60 to take in the sides about 5 inches, hem the length several inches, add boning to keep the top straight, cups (so I wouldn't have to wear a bra), and a bustle because the dress had a long sash. I was so pleased that I hired her again to alter my wedding dress. At first I was a little worried because I knew there was going to be a lot of work involved (my gown was all lace and had a lot of intricate beading). She basically had to take it apart and put it back together again, but she did a wonderful job and charged about $200 less than it probably would have cost elsewhere. I had absolutely no problems carrying on a conversation with Martha, and I found her to be fairly easy to get along with although I could see how some people might get the opposite impression. She's popular so her schedule can fill up fast, but I didn't have an issue getting an appointment time that worked with my schedule. I would highly recommend her!
