Catering By Liz

I have to start off by saying that we LOVED their food, and dealing with all of the employees at Catering by Liz was a pleasure. Harmony always emailed us very quickly, and was able to make last minute changes without a problem. However, at the end of our wedding day, the catering staff manager or whoever he was harassed our family head of households about paying the balance for the remainder of the catering fee. When my mother told him she knew nothing about it and wasn't paying him a dime, he then went after the groom's mother to pay the balance. A balance that had been paid weeks prior by me and my husband!!!! The check had already been cashed by Catering by Liz and everything! Luckily, I found out about this from my mother the next day and not the night of the wedding, or else that guy would have had one pissed-off bride on his hands! Frankly, even if the balance HADN'T been paid, how dare they harass family members?!?! If there was any kind of confusion, we should have been contacted personally, and not the day of our wedding!

Liz and her staff LOVE what they do and it shows! Catering by Liz has a wide array of items to choose from and she works with you to customize the menu and the food, including drink and dessert stations. I had never planned a wedding before and Liz and her staff were more than helpful. They made great suggestions for the buffet layout so it wouldn't be the traditional long queue of guests, plus she suggested an AMAZING potato bar. My guests are still raving about it!!! To top it all off, I had Catering by Liz create a dessert table with a few wedding cakes rather than the traditional one big cake. Her cakes were better than any of the other bakeries that I tried and the presentation was perfect.

I had my wedding reception at their onsite location on King St. The staff was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the location was beautiful. I would definitely recommend them to other brides! The arranged my table and chair rentals, the valet parking, and were overall very helpful. I received many compliments on the food and the venue, plus we were able to walk to the bar right next door after the reception to keep the party going.

Liz was fabulous from day one. Harmony and Christine were also kind and worked with us every step of the way to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. I loved that it was our reception with our twists and ideas. We didn't have to pick from a set menu or set up. Everything was custom to us. I recommend this venue and catering services to everyone I talk to. PERFECTION!!!

Exceptional! I can't say enough good things about Liz and her crew. We dealt with Harmony and Liz directly. They were prompt and very accommodating to all of our requests. They even took a family recipe for the groom's cake and perfected it. It is a great feeling when people are still calling to tell us how much they enjoyed the food. It is rare for people to rave about wedding food. The service was exceptional. The tasting we ahead well represented the food served on the wedding day. My husband was concerned we would have a great tasting, and then when mass produced on the wedding day, not satisfy. But he was wrong! They gave us a basket at the end of the night with all of the food served. It was a nice midnight snack when we got to our room. Thank you Liz and staff!!

From the moment we had our first tasting... we knew we had struck gold! We were looking to really offer our wedding guests an experience (not just average wedding food) and Catering By Liz did just that. I cannot tell you how many compliments we got from our guests and our other vendors on the food!! (When was the last time you ever complimented someone on their wedding food?) The presentation, the quality, the staff were all marvelous. The entire team there was so easy to work with and ensured that we really enjoyed the entire process of selecting our food. We were able to work with them to create a very personalized menu for our guests that had everyone going back for seconds and thirds during the Reception. This firm is worth every penny!!

Catering by Liz provided the best food possible for my wedding! It's been a month and a half and guests are still raving about the food (WEDDING food)!!! We had seared tuna steaks and mahi mahi served with island rice; pulled pork sandwiches on corn muffins; salad with macadamia-crusted chicken skewers and all the grilled veggies anyone could ask for. The seafood was so fresh and delicious. The meal was healthy (as requested by the Bride). The presentation was beautiful. I loved their product. Our contact person at the company was, however, pretty snooty and pompous. She was a little obnoxious to work with. Overall, though, at the end of it all my husband and I agree Catering by Liz was definitely worth their high price.

Catering By Liz was wonderful to work with- their staff and their food exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend them to any bride looking for a caterer in Jacksonville or the surrounding area. Can't say enough about them! We worked personally with Anastasia at Catering by Liz- she did a wonderful job and was easily accessible, which is important in those final weeks.
